Meet the Family Behind Southern Duckling

Hi guys and thanks for visiting our store! We are so excited about this new adventure in life and looking forward to getting to know all of you. My name is Candyce. I work from home for a construction company part time which affords me to raise my son at home and be involved with all of my daughter's activities.  I am from a small town in South Arkansas that's of course named after a southern tree but have lived in Northwest Arkansas with my husband and children since 2014. We love the small town life because of the overwhelming feeling of family and community support here. We have a 12 year old daughter, Maddy, who refuses to go to any other public school because she loves Prairie Grove so much, ha ha. She is the typical pre-teen vsco girl right now. Her world revolves around scrunchies, hoodies, Vans, Pura Vida, and friends. She cheers during football season then plays basketball until season ends in February. She is the best big sister to Carson (he thinks she hung the moon).  Carson is 18 months old and the busiest little boy I know! He keeps me on my toes constantly! He is such a funny guy and has the sweetest heart. He loves to help me "clean" the house after he destroys it every day. My husband, Matt, is in agricultural lending. He works that job full time plus his full time job of helping me when he gets home in the evenings......there's also this hobby of his that is like a third full time job.....yep you guessed it.....HUNTING! He is an avid hunter and fisherman. When he's not in the office or at home you can guarantee he is out hunting deer, ducks, turkey, or maybe even a bear!
